Getting Started as a Lead Buyer

Welcome to Easy Lead Distribution. Your lead seller has set you up to receive leads directly on your phone. This guide shows you how to get started — it takes about 2 minutes.

Step 1: Check Your Welcome Email

Your lead seller added you to their system, which sent you a welcome email from ELD. This email contains:

  • The lead flows you’ve been assigned to (e.g., “Roofing Leads Tampa”)
  • A link to set your password
  • Download links for the iOS and Android app

Start by clicking the password link and creating your password. This is what you’ll use to log into the app.

If you can’t find the welcome email, check your spam or promotions folder. If it’s not there, ask your lead seller to confirm the email address they used. You can also go directly to the app and tap “Forgot Password” to receive a new password reset link.

Step 2: Download the App

Download ELD on your phone:

You can also access ELD from your browser at EasyLeadDistribution.web.app or install it as a desktop app — but the mobile app is where you’ll want to receive leads since you get instant notifications on your phone.

Step 3: Log In

Open the app and sign in with your email and the password you just created. That’s it — you’re in.

If you’re assigned to multiple lead flows, you’ll see a screen listing all of them. Tap any flow to see your leads for that flow. If you’re assigned to just one flow, you’ll go straight to your lead dashboard.

Step 4: Receive and Act on Leads

From now on, every time a new lead comes in, you’ll get an instant notification on your phone. Here’s how it works:

New lead arrives — Your phone notifies you. Tap the notification to open the lead.

See the details — Each lead shows the prospect’s name, phone number, email, and any additional information (like their location, service needed, or budget).

Call or email with one tap — Tap the phone icon to call the prospect directly. Tap the email icon to email them. Either action automatically marks the lead as “Contacted.”

Add notes — After contacting a lead, you can add private notes. For example: “Left voicemail,” “Wants a quote for 2 vehicles,” “Follow up next Monday,” or “Not interested.” These notes are only visible to you.

Understanding Lead Statuses

Every lead has a status that updates automatically:

  • New (green) — You haven’t opened this lead yet.
  • Seen (gray) — You’ve viewed the lead details.
  • Contacted (blue) — You’ve called or emailed the prospect through the app.

At the top of your dashboard, you’ll see counters for Total, New, Seen, and Contacted. Tap any counter to filter your lead list. For example, tap “New” to see only the leads you haven’t looked at yet.

Searching Your Leads

Need to find a specific lead? Use the search function in the bottom bar. You can search by name, phone number, email, or any other field value. This is useful when a prospect calls you back and you need to quickly pull up their details.

Timeframe Selector

Your lead list is filtered by a timeframe — Today, This Week, This Month, etc. You can change this using the calendar icon in the bottom bar.

If you don’t see any leads, check the timeframe first. You might have it set to “Today” on a day when no new leads came in. Switch to “This Week” or “This Month” to see older leads.

Tips for Getting the Most From Your Leads

Act fast. The sooner you call a lead after they submit their inquiry, the more likely they are to pick up and convert. Leads that are contacted within the first few minutes have significantly higher conversion rates than leads contacted hours later.

Call first, email second. A phone call is always more effective than an email for time-sensitive leads. Use the one-tap call button. If they don’t answer, follow up with an email.

Use notes to stay organized. After every call, add a quick note. When you come back to your lead list later, you’ll know exactly where you stand with each prospect without having to remember.

Keep notifications on. Make sure ELD notifications are enabled on your phone. Go to your phone’s Settings → Notifications → Easy Lead Distribution and make sure notifications are allowed. This is how leads find you — if notifications are off, you’ll miss leads until you manually open the app.
